Primary
carburetor
1.
Remove the starter plunger.
2. Remove the primary
carbo
cap.
3. Remove the shaft securing bolts.
NOTE:
______________________

Pay
attention when removing the shaft secur-
ing bolts, pressing the springs with one hand
as
they will turn.
4. Remove the drum wire assembly.
5.
Remove the wire holder springs.
6.
Pull
out
the shaft, and remove the
piston.
7. Remove the float cham ber .
8.
Remove the valve seat, the needle jet,
the main jet, and the pilot jet.
Secondary carburetor
1.
Remove the secondary
carbo
cap.
2.
Remove the secondary piston.

3.
Remove the needle jet
out
of
the suction
piston.
NOTE:

1.
Loosen the jet needle tightening screw
and pull
out
the jet needle, then they can
be
pulled
out
with
the needle holder.
2.
Pay
close attention
to
the small spring
supporting the jet needle; it may jump
out
when the jet needle
is
removed from
the secondary piston.
4.
Assemble the secondary
carbo
cap and
the secondary piston, then move and in-
spectthem.
5.
Remove the blind plug and the needle
jet.

Inspection
1.
Examine the carburetor body and fuel
passages.
If
they
are contaminated,
wash the carburetor
in
a petroleum-
based solvent.
Do
not
use
any caustic
carburetor cleaning solutions.
Blowout
all
passages and jets with compressed
air.
