Start the engine and stop

minutes. This procedure
is
necessary
to
obtain the correct fuel level.

If the fuel level is incorrect, remove the
carburetor from the motorcycle and
check the fuel valve and float assembly
for damage. Replace
if
damaged.

If no damage
is
found, correct the fuel
level
by slightly bending the float
arm
tang.

Using a vernier
caliper, measure the
distance from the top
of
the float
chamber gasket seat (with the gasket
removed)
to
the
top
of
the float;
see
the
photograph.
Float level:
26.0 ± 2.5 mm (1.02 ± 0.10 in)
NOTE:

The
float should
be
just resting on, but not
depressing, the
spring-loaded inlet needle.

Recheck the fuel level.
