Note: Back the center screw out of the tool
before attaching to seal.
4. Thread in special tool OEM No. 11 1 210 until it
has firmly grasped the seal housing.
5. Turn center screw in to remove seal.
6. Wipe the sealing surface in the cover clean.

7. Install seal protector tool OEM No. 11 7 400
(4BY2) or 11 6 470 (6BY2) on end of
crankshaft. Lubricate surface of tool with clean
engine oil.
8. Slip seal over seal protector until it contacts
case cover. Remove seal protector. NOTICE:
NEVER touch the sealing lip of the new seal
with your fingers.
