• We now solder the two NPN transistors into position.

• Bend the component leads away from the body of the transistor. Note that

each transistor has its base lead bent in a different direction. Therefore it is

best to bend and then solder each transistor one at a time.

• The leads on the transistors may be bent directly at the body. Be careful to

do this ONCE! Repeated bending of the leads will result in breaking the

component lead from the body of the transistor.
