the aspirator when servicing it. Always safeguard your personal well-being when
troubleshooting electronic circuitry.
Caution Follow torque specifications listed in replacement instructions to avoid damage to the aspirator.
Safety Precautions
Caution Take the necessary precautions to guard against shock or injury before you conduct aspirator
tests or repairs.
• Only properly trained technicians should service the unit.
• The unit can contain deadly voltages even if the unit is turned off.
• Make sure to discharge the unit before working with it.
• Make sure you take the necessary precautions when working with static sensitive units. For
example, you must wear a conductive wrist strap (which touches your skin) connected to a
grounding mat and to the earth ground. You must remove the wrist strap when you discharge
high voltage or when you are working on energized equipment.
The remaining sections provide installation instructions for each replaceable part.
Replacement Part Installation Procedures
Observe these guidelines when performing installation procedures:
• Disconnect the power supply and internal battery prior to servicing.
• Wear an anti-static wrist strap.
• Screws are coated with Vibra-Tite anti-vibration compound during the aspirator
manufacturing process. When reusing screws clean and reapply Vibra-Tite anti-vibration
compound (ZOLL REF: 602-0006-00).
• Torque screws and nuts as specified in the instructions
• Be aware of potentially dangerous operating voltages.

since internal components are susceptible to damage from static discharge.. Wear
an anti-static wrist strap when servicing the aspirator.
