Exhaust Muffler Foam Replacement
Required Tools and Other Items
• Torque Driver
• #2 Phillips bit
• Vibra-Tite
Instructions
Step Action
1 Remove the four 8-32 x 3 screws on the Exhaust Muffler Baffle, and then remove the
baffle and its intake plate.
Save these screws.
2 Pull the old muffler foam from the Exhaust Muffler Block.
3 Insert the new muffler foam into the Exhaust Muffler Block.
Note: Do not compress (push down) on the muffler foam.
4 Align the Exhaust Muffler Baffle so that the “long side” (found on the top of the baffle is
on the left, and the “short side” is on the right, then place the baffle on the Exhaust
Muffler Block.
Torque: 5 in lbs
Bit Size: #2 Phillips
5 Position the Intake Plate on the Exhaust Muffler Baffle. Clean screws and apply Vibra-
Tite to each of the four 8-32 x 3 screws, re-insert, and tighten.
Torque: 14 in lbs
