D. Hoist Line Reeving
(1) Before you start to change the wire-rope parts, fully retract the boom and move it
to the front of the crane.
(2) Change the wire-rope parts as follows:
(a) Derrick the boom down to put the hook on the ground.

(b) Remove the pins on the hook block and boom head to let the wire rope
unreave.
