5 Calibration Procedures
This chapter describes the calibration procedure of a machine that could be needed, after proper verification, when a
better accuracy is requested or when a pre-programmed accessory load table must be activated.
The calibration is performed directly from the machine display.
5.1 Initial Checks
Before switching on the system it is good practice to check all the connections, particularly those of the power supplies,
the transducers and the lock relay. Then make sure that in general everything is in order. Then switch on the systems.
To be performed before calibrations procedures:
NOTES PROCEDURES
Check if the cable is fasten
properly
The cable must be in line with the pulley cable reel.
Check if the cable is fasten
properly on the boom head
The cable has to be fasten properly with a proper plinth to avoid loosing it up, it’s
advisable to perform a good tightening.
Checking the transducer reading
with the boom closed.
The reading must be roughly 55 bit In same particular occasions, when the cable
reel range is closed to the boom length, it can be reduced up to 30 bit.
Fitting pressure transducers. Connectors have to be tighten properly. If connectors with screws are used, please
check if the rubber is fitted and the screws are tighten properly.
Wiring Cables must be loosen up in order to follow all the boom positions In order to
achieve this, a protection must be installed
Checking the machine model
and its software
Please report the software version and the machine model as shown when starting
up the system.
Verify that the model is related to the machine.
