Using the cordless phones and radio units
Failure to observe this information can be hazardous and infringe existing laws.
Medical equipment
Do not use the handset and radio units near medical equipment, such as pacemakers or hear-
ing aids.
Availability of phone connection
In critical situations, do not rely on the handset as the only means of communication. The
availability is not always guaranteed.
The device is not ready for use if power supply to the communication system is interrupted.
Risk of explosion through sparking
Use only the special handset models ATEX on premises subject to explosion hazards.
Mains power
Connect the plug-in power supply units and charging bays (supplied) only to power sources
which correspond to the specifications on the devices.
Maintenance
Installations and repairs should always be handled by a qualified professional. Do not touch
the charging contacts with sharp, metal and/or greasy objects.
Clean the devices with a soft, slightly moist or antistatic cloth. Do not use any detergents or
other chemical substances.
Ambient conditions
Operate the devices only within the temperature range of +5 °C to approx. +40 °C. Avoid
direct sunlight or other sources of heat.
Protect the devices against wetness, heavy dust, corrosive liquids and steam.
Do not expose the device to electromagnetic fields (electric motors, household appliances).
The speech quality could be affected. To prevent interference, avoid placing your handset in
the immediate vicinity of computers, radios, TV sets, VCRs, and other telephone sets.
Disposal
Dispose of the devices, batteries and their packaging in an environmentally compatible way.
Do not throw away electrical devices with your household waste. Take them to your local col-
lection centres.
Accessories
Use only original accessories or specially approved accessories. Using other accessories may
hamper the system performance and operating reliability as well as your health and safety.
