Non-sparking  (Category 3G, Ex nA) 
 
 
IMPORTANT (NOTE) 
Prior to final installation, the operator must decide whether the device is to be used 
(A) as a device featuring type of protection "Ex ia" or "Ex iaD" (intrinsic safety) or 
(B) as a device featuring any of the other types of protection ("Ex d", "Ex tD", "Ex nA"). The 
operator must then permanently mark the selected type of usage in the appropriate box on the 
name plate. 
Once selected, the type of protection may not be changed. 
The information provided previously on the selected type of protection must be observed.
