9.1.1 Introduction

S2 is provided with the following accessories:

SNMP INTERFACES FOR NETWORK MANAGEMENT AND REMOTE MONITORING
9.1.2 Remote SHUT DOWN
The REMOTE SHUT DOWN must use a normally closed contact, which opens to operate the remote shut
down sequence.
The remote shutdown on terminal port X1/1.. X1/2 is located at the bottom of the CONCEPTPOWER DPA
TM
S2 frame on communication card with terminal blocks X1 …X4. See section 3 / 3.1.2.1 for details.
In order to allow removal, maintenance or testing of any remote shut down facility without disturbing the normal
operation of the UPS, it is recommended that a terminal block, with linking facilities, be installed between the
UPS and the stop button.
1. Use a screened cable with 1 pair (section of wires 0.5 mm
2
) and maximum length of 100 m.
2. Connect the cable as shown in Fig. 1.
