2 GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
2.1 ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
To operate the UPS at the best efficiency point, your installation site should meet the environmental parameters
outlined in this manual. Excessive amount of dust or moisture in the operating environment may cause damage or
lead to malfunction. The UPS should be always protected from the outside weather and sunshine. The operating
environment must meet the weight, airflow, size and clearance requirements specified in the section 10 “technical
specifications” of this manual or in the technical datasheet of the same product (separate document).
Under no circumstances, the UPS should be installed in an airtight room, in the presence of flammable gases, or in
an environment, exceeding environmental requirements specified here below.
The ambient temperature for operating the UPS must be in the range 0 °C to +40 °C. The Ideal temperature also
recommended to achieve a long life of the UPS and VRLA batteries is +20°C to +25°C. The relative humidity
should be below 95% (non-condensing) and the max. altitude without de-rating is 1000m above sea level.
2.2 CE MARKING AND DECLARATION OF SAFETY AND EMC CONFORMITY
The product has the CE marking in compliance with the following European directives
• Low Voltage Directive: 2006/95/EC
• EMC Directive: 2004/108/EC
The product applies the actual UPS standards, listed in the Table 1 below.
