NoteAction
Remove the lock nuts and support washers
that hold the lower rod at each end.
Note
The support washers can stick to the grease
and can easily be forgotten and lost when
removing the lock nuts.

CAUTION
The link weighs .
All lifting accessories used must be sized
accordingly!

Remove the lower rod by lifting it straight
out.
Note
The support washers on the inside of the
rod can stick to the grease of the bearings
when the rod is being removed. Remove
them from the rod!

Remove the inner support washers and the
sealing/spacer rings.

Remove residual grease.7
Refitting, lower rod
Use this procedure to refit the lower rod of the linkage.
NoteAction
Spare part no. is specified in Required
equipment on page 205.
If needed, replace the bearings.
Note
The bearings are sensitive for pushes. Make
sure they are not damaged!

Lubricate the bearings properly with bearing
grease.

Refit the sealing/spacer rings to the shaft
ends on the link and frame.

Replace if damaged.
Tip
Putting some grease on the support
washers will keep them in position.
Refit the support washers on the seal-
ing/spacer rings.

Check that the bearings in the lower rod are
fitted correctly, that is in the center of the
hole. (The same distance from bearing to
the edge of the lower rod on both sides.)
