3.10.3.8 Other functions
The configuration includes few instances of multipurpose protection MAPGAPC,
high-impedance fault detection PHIZ, runtime counter for machines and devices
MDSOPT and different types of timers and control functions. These functions are not
included in application configuration but they can be added based on the system
requirements.
3.11 Standard configuration J
3.11.1 Applications
The standard configuration for directional overcurrent and directional earth-fault
protection with phase voltage-based measurements, undervoltage and overvoltage
protection, frequency protection and measurement functions is mainly intended for
cable and overhead-line feeder applications in isolated or resonant-earthed
distribution networks. The configuration also includes additional options for selecting
earth-fault protection based on admittance, wattmetric or harmonic-based principles.
The IED with a standard configuration is delivered from the factory with default
settings and parameters. The end user flexibility for incoming, outgoing and internal
signal designation within the IED enables this configuration to be further adapted to
different primary circuit layouts and the related functionality needs by modifying the
internal functionality using PCM600.
