QUALIFIED PERSON
For the purpose of this manual, a qualified person is one who is familiar with the
installation, configuration, or operation of the equipment and the hazards involved.
In addition, the person has the following qualifications and is trained:
• and authorized to de-energize, clear, ground, and tag circuits and equipment
in accordance with established safety procedures.
• in the proper care and use of protective equipment such as rubber gloves,
hard hat, safety glasses or face shields, flash clothing, etc. in accordance with
established safety practices.
in rendering first aid.Any work on or near energized meters, meter sockets, or
other metering equipment presents the danger of electrical shock. All work on
these products must be performed by qualified industrial electricians and metering
specialists only. All work must be done in accordance with local utility safety
practices and procedures.
