put
journals
into
connecting
rods
No.
1
and No. 4, and install the rod
caps and
nuts finge.-tight.
NOTE: lnstall
caps so
the
bearing
recess is
on the
samg side as the
.ecess
in the
rod.
Check rod bearing clsarance with
plastigage
(see
page
7-9),
then tighten the capnuts
in 2
steps.
