DVD Player: Basic functions
EJECT : Open and close disc tray
Insert disc and start Play
1. Switch on the DVD machine and select the DVD option as the operating mode of the machine (more details in
the previous chapter).
2. Press the EJECT
button (open and close disc tray) on the front of the device or on the remote in order to open
the disc tray.
3. The message OPEN appears on the display and screen.
4. Carefully insert a disc into the disc tray with the label side facing upwards.

5. Press the EJECT
button again to close the disc tray.
6. The message CLOSE appears on the display.
7. The machine begins to read the disc.
8. In most cases the disc starts to play automatically.
• Forsomediscshowever,youmustpressPLAY/ENTERorselectthemenuitemPLAYinthediscmenuusing
navigation buttons ▲▼►◄ and press the PLAY/ENTER button to start Play.
9. If a disc has a disc menu or a number of titles (lms) can be found on it, a disc menu appears on the screen.
10. Using the navigation buttons ▲▼►◄ you can select individual menu items e.g. Start Film or select individual
titles (lms). See also the chapter “MENU: Play using the disc menu“.
11. If you have selected a menu item, press the PLAY/ENTER button, to start Play.
Note:
The content and options of each disc and each disc menu depend on the respective disc manufacturer. The device
has no inuence over this.
Remove disc
1. Before opening a disc tray to remove the disc, press the STOP button twice to cancel playback completely.
2. Press the EJECT
, button, to open the disc tray.
3. The remove the disc from the disc tray.
4. Press the EJECT
, button, to close the disc tray.
DVD-Player: Playback functions
PAUSE and PLAY/ENTER: Pause and restart Play
1. Whilst the disc is playing, press the PAUSE button, in order to pause Play temporarily.
2. The current picture is “frozen“.
3. Press the PAUSE button again or the PLAY/ENTER button, to continue playback from the point at which the
disc was paused.
4. The machine plays back all titles, chapters or soundtracks in sequence.
STOP: Cancel Play
1. Whilst the disc is playing press the STOP button, to pause play.
