Analog
Section
Figure
4-3
shows
the
analog
section
block
diagram.
The
4263B
analog section
can be
divided
into
three
sections
,
the
signal
source,
transducer and
vector ratio
detector.
The
signal
source
generates
an
ac
,dc
,or
dc biased
ac signal
of which
frequency and
level
is
set
from
the
keyboard
or
by GPIB
commands.
The signal
is applied
to the
DUT via
the
High-Current
(H
CUR
)
connector
.
The
current
owing
through
the
DUT
is
current sunk
into the
Low-Current
(L
CUR
)
connector
,
which
serves
as
virtual ground.
The
vector
voltage
across
the
DUT
is detected
by the
voltage between
High-Potential
(H
POT
)
and
Low-P
otential
(L
POT
)
connectors
.
The
vector
current
owing through
the DUT
is detected
by
converting
the
current
owing
into
L
CUR
connector
to
a
corresponding
voltage
,
using an
I-V
converter
.
One
of
the
two
outputs from
the transducer
is selected
in
the
vector
ratio
detector
by
switch
SW2.
The
selected
signal is
processed according
to measurement
conditions
,
such
as
measurement
time
and
measurement range
,and
is converted
into
digital
data
by
the
Analog-to-Digital
Converter
(ADC).
