7 Theory of Operation
Autosampler Control and Electronics
The Microtiter Plate Board (MTP) controls the vial-transport mechanism,
sampling needle, metering unit, and high-speed injection valve. These devices
are controlled by a versatile electronics design based upon a 68000 family
processor which also contains battery backup RAM, flash ROM, a real time
clock, and several communications options.
