Fuel System
W
Petrol is an extremely inflam-
mable and sometimes even
explosive fuel. Do not smoke within
the machine’s operating range and
keep away fire and sparks.
l
Each time you maintain the machine,
check the fuel hose, fuel tank, and
carburetor for leakages. Remove any
leakage and immediately replace a
leaking or porous fuel hose.
l
Replace the fuel hoses at 2-year in-
tervals.
l
Cleaning the sediment bowl
l
Close the fuel tap. Remove the sedi-
ment bowl together with the o-ring and
wash it with a non-flammable or hardly
inflammable solvent. Allow it to dry thor-
oughly, then replace it and tighten it
until it is peg. Open the fuel tap and
inspect for leakages before you start
the engine.
Excessive petrol supply
l
If fuel supply to the engine is too
much, move the speed control lever to
FULL THROTTLE and crank the engine
using the recoil starter until it starts
again. If it does not start, remove the
spark plug and crank the engine with
the spark plug removed. Clean the
spark plug, replace it and start again.
Inspecting the fuel supply
Remove the drain plug and open the fuel
tap. Fuel supply will be OK, if fuel runs
through the tap. Retighten the drain plug.
