Turn the threaded end piece (11/2, 12/2)
upwards until the Bowden cable is ten-
sioned.
Turn the lock nuts against the guide
(11/3, 12/3) to fix the Bowden cable.
6. Pull down the rubber sheath (11/4, 12/4) to
the lock nut (11/a, 12/a) to protect the
Bowden cable against corrosion.
5.4 Adjusting the Bowden cable (13)
The fine adjustment is carried out via the adjust-
ing screw.
1. Loosen the lock nut (13/2) on the adjusting
screw (13/a).
2. Turn the adjusting screw (13/3) (13/b) to
lengthen or shorten the path of the Bowden
cable. Ensure that the Bowden cable is
slightly taut and is not sagging.
3. Re-tighten the lock nut (13/2) (13/a).
5.5 Checking the Bowden cable setting (14)
The Bowden cable of the travel drive lengthens
over time. If the travel drive can no longer be
switched on while the engine is running, the
Bowden cable has become too long and must be
tightened.
1. Switch off the appliance (see chapter 6.8
"Stopping the engine (38, 39)", page41).
2. Re-adjusting the Bowden cable (see chapter
5.3 "Installing and adjusting Bowden cables
for travel and worm drives (07 - 12)",
page37).
To check the Bowden cable setting:
1. Start the engine (see chapter 6.7 "Starting
the engine (32 - 37)", page40).
2. Put into gear (see chapter 7.1 "Starting clear-
ing (40 - 42)", page41).
3. Slowly push the right handle (14/1) down-
wards (14/a) until a slight resistance is felt.
The pressure point of the clutch has been de-
termined.
4. If the travel drive is not switched on: Repeat
the previous steps.
5. If adjusting the Bowden cable is not success-
ful: Contact one of the manufacturer's service
centres.
5.6 Mounting the rod for the gear selector
lever (15, 16)
1. Attach the rod (15/1) at the bottom into the
gear shift mount (16/2).
2. Attach the rod on the top of the gear selector
lever (16/3) in the mount.
3. Secure the rod at the top and bottom with
washers and cotter pins.
5.7 Fitting the levers for gear selection and
discharge height (17)
1. Push spring washers (17/1) onto the thread.
2. Screw on and tighten the discharge height le-
ver (17/2).
3. Screw on and tighten the gear selection lever
(17/3).
5.8 Connecting the heater and lighting plug
(18)
1. Connect the plug parts (18/1) for the heater
and lighting.
2. Secure the plug connection.
5.9 Fitting the snow discharge spout (19-
22)
1. Apply spray oil (or grease) to the sliding sur-
face (19/1) of the snow discharge spout on
the snow blower.
2. Place the plastic ring (19/2) on the sliding
surface of the snow discharge spout (19/a)
and lightly oil it with spray oil (lubricating
grease can also be used).
3. Fit the snow discharge spout (20/1) (20/a, 21/
a).
4. Insert the mounting bolts (21/2) through the
brackets and snow discharge spout from the
inside.
5. Secure the snow discharge spout with the
self-locking nuts (21/3).
6. Insert the mounting bolts (22/1) through the
large guide plate (22/2) and fit the two small
guide plates (22/3).
Note:The small guide plates must lie on top
of the large guide plate.
7. Insert the guide plates with the mounting
bolts from below into the snow discharge
spout.
8. Fit washers (22/4) onto the bolts.
9. Securely tighten the self-locking nuts (22/5).
5.10 Connecting the Bowden cable to the
discharge flap (23)
This Bowden cable moves the discharge flap of
the snow discharge spout and serves to set the
discharge height.
