Implements with TwinTeC+ double disc coulters
5.19.3 Coulter pressure
The TwinTeC+ double-disc coulters are supported by the press rollers. Even on heavy soils, the coul-
ter pressure ensures uniform placement depth of the seed and allows the coulters to run smoothly.
Increase the coulter pressure to maintain the placement depth, e.g.
ï‚· before changing from light to heavy soil
ï‚· before increasing the working speed.
5.19.3.1 Coulter pressure - Manual actuation
The coulter pressure cylinders are connected to
a hydraulic circulation system.
The pressure gauge (Fig. 141/2) indicates the
current coulter pressure. The coulter pressure is
infinitely variably adjusted using the pressure
control valve (Fig. 141/1) and can only be built
up and changed when the blower fan is running.

5.19.3.2 Coulter pressure - Actuation on the control terminal
The coulter pressure and the increased seed rate are set on the control terminal before starting work.
There is a choice of several pressure levels. Each pressure level can be assigned to a specific
increased seed rate.
During operation, the coulter pressure can be adjusted in stages. The control terminal shows
ï‚· the selected pressure level of the coulter pressure
ï‚· the increase in the seed rate.
