Maximum solar charging
will
be indicated
w~th
a green light. marked
CHARGING. A green light marked CHARGED indicates the solar charger is
in minimum charge mode.
The major 12-volt charging systems must be turned
OFF for an accurate
battery charge
reading. These systems are the 120-volt AC to 12-volt DC
power converter and the chassis engine alternator. The solar charging system
will not effect the battery charge reading.
To
check either battery system charge:
1.
The battery disconnects must
be
ON.
2.
Tum
.the
power converter OFF by disconnecting
theshore
cord and .
stopping the generator or by turning OFF the converter/invertor 120-
volt breaker switch in the 120-volt breaker box. The chassis engine
must be
OFF.
3.
Tum on a light or any 12-volt appliance. The battery systems must be
.checked with a load.
4.
Press the MAIN or AUX rocker switch on the panel.
5. Read battery system charge condition on the meter. Yellow light
. indicates a
LOW batte-ry condition. One green light indicates a FAIR
battery condition. Two green
li£;hts indicate a GOOD battery condition.
