Important Notice to Users
Equipment used in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations.
Power, input, and output (I/O) wiring must be in accordance with Class I, Division 2,
Groups A,B,C,D, T4 or Non-Hazardous Areas Only. (Note: Division 2 Standalone Ana-
lyzer is not supplied with the 24 VDC power supply option.)
Division 2 standalone analyzer is not supplied with the 24 VDC power supply
option.
Explosion hazard – Substitution of components may impair suitability for
Class I, Division 2.
Explosion hazard – When in hazardous locations, turn o power before replac-
ing or wiring modules.
Explosion hazard – Do not disconnect equipment unless power has been
switched o or the area is known to be nonhazardous.
Exposure to some chemicals may declare the sealing properties of materials
used in the following devices: Power Supply Module.
All input and output wiring must be in accordance with Class I, Division 2 wiring
methods (NEC Sec 501.4(b) or CEC 18-152) and in accordance with the authority
having jurisdiction.
If the 3050-DO Analyzer is to be powered by a source of 24 VDC other than that
supplied by AMETEK, the power sources output must be isolated from hazardous
mains voltages using double or reinforced insulation which has a minimum
dielectric strength of 2300 VAC. When the 3050-DO Analyzer is used in a Class I, Divi-
sion 2 area, this external power source must be located in a general purpose area or be
approved for Division 2 areas.
