Inputting Data Electronically
The Phoroptor VRx allows you to automatically enter data electronically from auxiliary external devices,
such as Lensmeters and Auto Refractors. Electronically entering data into the Phoroptor VRx is
possible, using one of the following options:
Direct Connection - The external device sends data directly to the Phoroptor VRx and populates
the AR and LM data elds since the device is directly connected to the Phoroptor VRx, using a
serial cable or Bluetooth adapter.
Direct Connection to a Stored Data List - The external device data is sent directly to the
Phoroptor VRx and the data are stored in a Data List.
Through EMR - If the EMR system interfacing with the Phoroptor VRx supports two-way
communication, the external device sends data directly to the EMR system, and then the EMR
system sends the data to the Phoroptor VRx.
