TRANSLATION OF THE ITALIAN ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS - 27 -
In order to avoid damage to the compressor and cooling system, never tilt the ap-
pliance more than 45° during transport and positioning. After transport or handling,
wait at least 4 hours after the appliance has been positioned before switching it on.
This will allow the compressor oil to level and prevent it from entering the cooling
circuit, causing irreversible damage to the compressor and the evaporator.
Never place the appliance on a flammable surface (e.g. carpet, rugs, tablecloths, etc.);
Do not position the appliance near open flames, electric cookers, ovens or other sources of
heat, such as, for example, places exposed to direct sunlight. Heat can damage the surface of
the appliance and adversely affect its operation;
Position the appliance so that the sides and rear are always at least 10 cm from walls, furni-
ture and other objects, and the top has at least 10 cm of clearance. This is to ensure good air
circulation and easier access to all parts of the appliance as well as to provide the necessary
space for its operation;
The appliance must not be built into furniture or masonry walls;
Do no drill holes into the appliance or attach objects to it;
The appliance must not be used if it is out of order, damaged or has suffered impacts;
To avoid hazardous situations for the user do not use accessories or spare parts which differ
from those recommended by the manufacturer. The appliance could be damaged or prove to
be a risk for the health and life of individuals.
ATTENTION! If incorrectly positioned, the appliance is not enabled for operation.
5.3 Use
Clean the appliance before its first use (see Section 6 - Cleaning and servicing);
Insert the plug into an individually interlocked protected electric socket in compliance with the
regulations;
Insert the water collection tray into the specifics guides (ABT30A model excluded);
All food must be placed in the appliance only using trays or grids suitable for contact with food,
with low edges, and resistant to low temperatures. Do not cover the trays and containers with
lids or insulating films; the larger the surface of the food exposed to contact with cold air, the
shorter the cooling times.
The total load of the equipment must never exceed the cooling capacity indicated in Section 9
- Technical Data, Tab.1.
The appliance quickly lowers the internal temperature of the products, regardless of whether they
are cooked or fresh, preserving their consistency, hygiene and quality, while reducing the risk of
generation of bacteria. The traditional method of storing cooked food has always been to let it cool
naturally until it reaches an adequate temperature to keep in the refrigerator. During the period
when the internal temperature of the food drops from +65 °C to +10 °C, the food loses many of its
natural characteristics, such as humidity, consistency, aroma and colour. The appliance is designed
to reduce the time required for this critical temperature change.
The appliance is designed to adapt to two types of grids or trays:
GN 1/1;
EN 60x40 cm (only ABT50A e ABT100A models).
Always use metal or aluminium containers as they are good thermal conductors. Plastic or polyure-
thane containers insulate food from cold air, making the process of lowering the temperature less
