5. Installation and operation of the appliance
5.1 Electrical connection (plug-socket)
HAZARD! Live components!
All models have a power supply cable with a Schuko plug.
The appliance must only be connected to an electrical socket that is individually protected against
indirect contacts in compliance with the regulations in force in the country of use.
ATTENTION! Do not remove the appliance’s plug by pulling the power supply cable.
ATTENTION! The power supply cable must never be placed in contact with hot objects.
ATTENTION! Do not spray water on the appliance and do not expose it to rain, water
or any other source of humidity. The appliance can cause injuries if it is not installed
correctly.
ATTENTION! Before installing the appliance compare the parameters of the local elec-
tricity mains supply with the technical data of the appliance (see the identification
plate on the rear of the appliance, Fig.2 - Section 8). Only connect the appliance to the
mains if the above-mentioned data correspond! All the safety instructions must be
complied with!
ATTENTION!
Ensure that the power supply cable does not come into contact with heat sources or sharp
edges and that it does not become blocked under the appliance. Ensure that the cable is laid
out properly, and not rolled up or bent;
The power supply cable must not be laid on carpets, tablecloths, mats or on other heat insu-
lating materials, nor covered or immersed in water or other liquids and it must be positioned
where it cannot be walked on;
Position the appliance so that the plug is always accessible;
Do not use extension cords, adapters or reducers;
Take care that the power supply cable does not cause tripping hazards.
5.2 Handling and positioning
The appliance must be positioned on a stable and level surface on the ground; ABT30A model
must be positioned on a stable and level work surface.
Ensure that, from the point of view of the overall dimensions (see Table 1 - Section 9), the space
provided for the appliance allows its correct use and easy servicing as indicated in Section 6.
ATTENTION!
Remove the appliance from the packaging, be sure to follow the instructions in Section 4 (En-
vironmental notes) with regard to the storage and disposal of the packaging materials;
While always keeping the appliance level, move and position it on a stable and correctly lev-
elled surface, then apply the brakes on the front wheels.
