4 Commissioning
Prior to commissioning, check that all requirements are fulfilled at the installation
location (see section "Installation conditions" p. 17).
4.1 Installation conditions
4.1.1 Environmental conditions
The following requirements are placed on the climatic conditions in the operating
room of the qTOWER³ touch:
Operation Transport, Storage
Temperature range +15 °C to +35 °C +5 °C to +55 °C
Max. humidity: 70 % 10 % to 30 %
Use drying agent!
Air pressure 0.7 bar to 1.06 bar
Permissible altitude max. 2000 m NN
The laboratory atmosphere must be free of draft, corrosive vapors and vibration.
The following requirements are placed on the location of the qTOWER³ touch:
Do not locate the device directly near a door or window.
Place the device on a heat-resistant and acid-resistant surface.
Do not locate the device near sources of electromagnetic interference.
Avoid direct sunlight and radiation from heaters onto the qTOWER³ touch; if neces-
sary ensure air conditioning.
Never cover the air vents of the backplate of the device with other equipment or
installations!
4.1.2 Energy supply
WARNING
Observe the mains connection! The qTOWER³ tou
ch may only be connected to a
properly grounded mains outlet in accordance with the voltage specifications on the
type plate.
The qTOWER³ touch is operated with single-phase alternating current. Prior to making
the connection check that the voltage selection switch of the device is set to the correct
value.
