INSTALLING THE GATEWAY
Before you start, make sure that:
• You have contacted your service provider and veried that they provide data and
telephone service using standard DPoE Fibre technology.
• You have all the items you need (page 7).
• Opcal, MoCA, phone, and power outlets are available near the computer. If an
opcal outlet is not conveniently located, your service provider can install a new
one.
• If you have ordered service, your service provider should congure the gateway
automacally. You need only follow the instrucons in this secon to install and
connect the gateway.
• You have familiarized yourself with the gateway’s front-panel LEDs (page 11) and
the rear-panel connectors (page 12).
Ypur have chosen a suitable locaon for your gateway (page 13).
CAUTION: Risk of equipment damage
Only qualied installaon technicians should connect the gateway to house wiring.
Incumbent telephone service must be physically disconnected at the outside interface
box before making any connecons.
