What to do if Assa Abloy Locks latchbolt does not retract or extend properly?

If the latchbolt on your Assa Abloy lock doesn't retract or extend properly, first, remove the lockset. Then, look through the 2-1/8" hole and make sure the latchbolt tail is centered between the top and bottom of the hole. If that is not the cause, remove the latchbolt and insert the lockset, look through the latch hole and verify retractor mouth centered in hole. Adjust outside rose plate if not. If the issue persists, rebore holes if necessary to line up retractor and tail.
