Trouble on More Than One Voice Terminal
Warning:
Step 11.
Remove control unit ac power (using the control unit
On/Off switch) before inserting or removing an expan-
sion module. If you are using an auxiliary power unit,
unplug it from the ac outlet.
Switch the expansion modules back to their original position.
Step 12.
See if any of the other voice terminals on which the trouble appears are on
the same expansion module as the voice terminal just checked.
IF
All of the other voice terminal on
which trouble appears are on the
same expansion module,
There is no other expansion
module to be tested and/or the
trouble was caused by the control
unit,
All of the other voice terminals
with trouble are on a different
expansion module,
Go on to Step 13.
Some voice terminals with trouble
are on a different module and
some voice terminals with trouble
are on the same module,
THEN
Go on to Step 13.
Add to your notes the top 
Voice
Terminals jack number for the
defective expansion module (10, 15,
20, or 25). This will help you keep
track of the defective modules (for
example, “defective module-15”).
Then, repeat Steps 2 through 9 to
determine what is causing the
trouble to the other voice termi-
nals.

Step 13.
Return all of the modular terminal cords and line cords to their original
position.
Step 14.
Return ac power to the control unit.
Step 15.
Read the section on Maintenance Exchange Procedures at the end of this
manual to obtain a replacement for the defective component (either con-
trol unit or expansion module).
