DANGER
WHEN THE PLATFORM IS ELEVATED,
DRIVE ONLY ON UNIFORM, FIRM AND
LEVEL GROUND.
TO AVOID THE RISK OF TIPPING, DO
NOT DRIVE THE MACHINE NEAR
OBSTACLES, HOLES, OR ON A GRADE
OR SIDE SLOPE IN EXCESS OF THE
VALUES INDICATED IN SECTION 2.
4.2.2 ENGINE SPEED
The engine speed is managed by the control system based on the movement performed and/or
the activation of certain safety systems.
When driving, with the platform in stowed position, the engine runs at high speed when
intermediate or high speeds are selected. The engine remains in idle when slow speed is
selected or when the platform is elevated
.
4.2.3 ENGINE SAFETY SYSTEMS
When one of the following malfunctions is detected:
Engine oil pressure too low.
Coolant temperature too high.
The "System Status" / Maintenance indicator light comes on steady.
An intermittent acoustic alarm is triggered.
The control system prevents the engine from being switched to high speed.
The control system automatically shuts the engine down after 2 minutes if the
problem persists.
Once the emergency stop has been reset, the engine can be re-started in order to return the
platform to its stowed position. Immediately switch off the engine once the platform is in stowed
position.
4.3. DRIVE - STEERING
Drive
1- Select the platform control station and
start the engine.
2- With the joystick in neutral position and
trigger released, activate the drive mode
by placing the selector switch to the
right.
The drive mode indicator comes on.
3- Select the desired drive speed.
4- Press on the trigger and push the
joystick forward to move forward or pull
the joystick back to reverse. The drive
speed of the machine is proportional to
the course of the joystick.
5- To stop movement, return the joystick to
neutral to reduce speed, then release the trigger.
Steering
The wheels can be steered only when the drive mode is selected.
The enable trigger must be actuated to steer the wheels while the platform is stationary.
The rocker switch on top of the joystick is used to steer the machine.
