5.1. TILT SENSOR
The tilt sensor, located in the ground control
station compartment, continuously measures the
chassis inclination.
-NOTE-
This device cannot direct the machines
operation. Do not raise the work platform or
drive with the platform raised on inclined,
uneven or soft surfaces.
When the structure is fully lowered the
indicator light comes on to indicate the
machine tilt is too important for the work
platform to be raised.
When the platform is raised, the tilt indicator
light comes on and an alarm sounds when
the maximum authorised tilt has been reached.
Triggering of the audible alarm means that the machine has reached its stability limit.
Mode 1:
- Drive movement cut out when the maximum tilt is reached.
Mode 2:
- Sound and visual alarm.
- Drive movement cut out when the maximum tilt is reached.
- Reduction in elevation and lowering speeds.
- Deck extension movement prohibited (hydraulic extension option only).
Mode 3:
- Sound and visual alarm.
- Drive movement cut out when the maximum tilt is reached.
- Elevation movement cutout.
- Reduction in lowering speed.
- Deck extension movement prohibited (hydraulic extension option only).
Mode 4 (CAUTION, this mode does not comply with the EC standard):
- Sound and visual warning only (no movement cut out).
