4.9.2 SECURING FOR TRANSPORT
During transport:
• The platform must be fully lowered.
• The deck extensions must be retracted.
• The machine must be tied down to the truck
bed or trailer deck as shown opposite.
Preferably use chains or slings rather than
textile straps. The wheels can be chocked as
additional safety precaution.
• The guardrails can be folded down to comply
with road clearance requirements.
Fold down the guardrails only when the
platform is in the stowed position.
- Unhook the platform control station.
- Remove the safety snap pins and fold
down the guardrails in the order indicated
opposite. Raise the side guardrails of the
deck extensions before tilting them.
- Replace the safety snap pins once the
guardrails have been folded down.
