Power Source Priorities
The H5A Multisensor camera prioritizes auxiliary power so that if both power sources are connected,
auxiliary power disables the PoE connection and provides power to the camera whenever it is present. The
presence of auxiliary power does not disable or corrupt the PoE connection. If auxiliary power is interrupted,
the camera will switch to drawing power from the PoE port without any interruption in operation.
The camera draws power from either auxiliary or PoE power, but never from both or shared. The only
exception is the small amount of power that the PoE connection may require to stay connected. If the priority
power supply is removed and then reconnected, the camera will automatically switch back to drawing
current from the priority power supply when it is available.
