3 Installation
3.1 Hardware Installation
3.1.1 Unpacking
Normally, the F-FEM-DAC is delivered in a cabinet with the wiring
already done. Component parts must only be exchanged in the case of
replacements or system extensions.
3.1.2 Scope of Supply
n F-FEM-DAC device
n Connector set for all I/O connections
– P-SUB socket with case for 24 V supply
– 6 x D-SUB connector with housing for the wiring of the
analog inputs and frequency outputs
n Test and calibration protocol with the measured accuracies of all
output channels (The serial number on the protocol must
correspond with the serial number on the type plate on the
device).
n Test certificate
3.1.3 Preconditions
The F-FEM-DAC can be used with PUMA Open or with automation
systems from other manufacturers. FEMs Classic (older generation of
FEMs) and F-FEMs (new generation) can be operated parallel to each
other in the PUMA Open system.
A space of 55 mm x 264 mm
2
is required on the mounting panel. The
mounting depth is 180 mm. With the plugs connected it is 245 mm.
The FEM-DAC has been designed for top hat rail mounting (DIN rail;
TS35 according to DIN EN 50022). For mounting/dismounting, you
need a screw driver size 6.
Important: Please check the contents with the items as indicated
under "Scope of Supply".
