1.1 General Information About the F-FEM-DAC
The F-FEM-DAC (Fast Front End Module Digital Analog Converter) is
part of a family of Front End Modules that operate together in a
network. This F-FEM belongs to a new generation of devices for which
real time data communication is ensured in the PUMA Open system. It
is used to output analog quantities and frequencies.
Compatibility FEMs Classic (older generation) and F-FEMs (new generation) can be
operated parallel to each other in the PUMA Open system.
Purpose of the
F-FEM-DAC
The F-FEM-DAC is used for the output of analog signals and has an
interface for connection to an F-FEM-DIO. The signals can be
transferred directly to/from the PUMA test bed computer or via another
type of F-FEM module (e.g. F-FEM-CON).
F-FEMs and
PUMA Open
Up to 62 F-FEMs can be used with PUMA Open. The total sampling
rate for all connected F-FEMs is 64 kHz.
Channels Each F-FEM-DAC is equipped with 4 analog output channels and 2
frequency output channels.
