Performance Considerations
When settings up your system, it is impo rtant to co nsider how various settings and situations will affect performance . Some facto rs
affect the amount of bandwidth (the bit rate) required, others can affect the frame rate, and some affect both. If the load on the
CPU reaches its max im um , this will also affect the fra m e rate.
The following factors are among the most important to consider:
High image resolution and/or low er compression levels res ult in images containing more data. Bandwidth affecte d.
Access by large numbers o f Mo tion JPEG and/or unicast H.264 clients. Bandwidth affected.
Simultaneous viewing of different streams (resolution, compression) by different clients. Effect on fram e rate a nd bandwidth.
Accessing Motion JPEG a nd H.264 video streams sim ultane ous ly. Frame rate and ba ndwidth affected.
