Light Control Unit (LCU) Diagnostics
Light Pattern Description
Each light fades from red to
orange, yellow, green, blue,
indigo, and violet, one at a
time, starting from the device
in port 0 and ending at port 7.
The machine is in a diagnostic mode.
Typically, the diagnostic mode displays
upon powering on.
Upon start up, the lights do
not fade from red to orange,
yellow, green, blue, indigo,
and violet starting from the
device in port 0 and ending at
port 7.
A device is disconnected or damaged.
Solution: Connect or replace the affected
item.
Upon start up, no lights blink. The machine software does not detect or
recognize the LCU board. Solution: Verify
the LCU board firmware is correct.
Replace, if necessary.
After initial start up and
successfully passing the
diagnostic mode period, no
lights blink.
A previously connected and working
device has become disconnected or
damaged. Solution: Replace the affected
item.
All of the lights blink
continuously.
A device is disconnected or damaged.
Solution: Connect or replace the affected
item.
Some lights blink red, blue,
and green. Or, some lights
blink blue, red, and green.
The devices displaying this pattern are
connected and undamaged. The devices
that do not blink or blink another pattern
are damaged or the LCU does not contain
firmware to support the device. Solution:
Replace the affected item or firmware.
Violet and green lights blink
one, two, three, or four times.
Or, green lights blink one, two,
three, or four times.
A device is damaged or the LCU does not
contain firmware to support the device.
Solution: Replace the affected item or
firmware.
The LED color or intensity is
incorrect.
A connector is loose or disconnected.
Solution: Firmly connect the affected
item.
