The power c ord required to c onnect the projector with the power n et is not delivered with the projector. It is the responsibility of the
customer to provide the correct type of power cord. The cross-sectional area of the c onductors in the power supply cord shall not
be less than 4 mm ² or 10 AWG, minimum 300V.
To protect operating personnel, the National Electrical Manufacturers A ssociation (NEMA) recommends that the instrument panel
and cabinet be grounded. In no event shall this pr ojector be operated without an adequa te cabinet ground c onnection.
The AC supply m ust be installed by a qualified e lectrician in conformance to local codes . Hardwa re, wire sizes and conduit types
must c omply w ith local c odes.
A readily accessible disconnect device shall be incorporated externally to the equipment for rem oval of the power to the equipment
mains terminals.
The building installation m ust be provided with a circuit breaker o f max. 40A to p rotect the complete unit.
WARNING: Disconnect the power to the unit m ains terminals and unplug power cord at UPS inlet for removal
of all p ower from the unit
UPS requirements
The Uninterruptible Power S upply (UPS), also known as a Continuous Power Supply (CPS), mus t have an output v oltage of 200-
240V at 50-60Hz and mu st be c apable of delivering an output current of 5,5 amperes.
The connection between the UPS unit and the UPS inlet of the projector must be done with a certified AC power supply cord o f
minimum 0,75 m m² or 1 8 AWG and minimum 300V.
CAUTION: The 200–240V power outlet (UPS OUTLET) of the projector may not be used t o provide the UPS
unit with power! The UPS OUTLET o f the projector may only be used for connection to the UPS INLET of the
projector.

Exhaust outlet for external fan
The exhaus t outlet has an output v oltage of 200–2 40V at 50–60 Hz; switched and m aximum 3 amperes is allowed.
The connection between the exhaust outlet and the external blower must be done with a certified AC power supply cord of minimum
0,75 m m² or 18 AWG and minimum 300V.
CAUTION: Th e 200–240V power outlet (exhaust outlet) of the projector may not be used to pro vide power to
any o ther device than an external exh aust fan. Maximum allowed cu rrent : 3A.
Projector we ight
Do not unde restimate the weight of the B-series projector. The projector weights about ±133 kg (±293 lb.) w ithout lens. Be sure that
the pedestal on which the projector has to be installed is c apable of handling five (5) times the complete load of the system.
Barco offers a pedestal for the B -series projector. T his u niversal p edestal allows a solid and easy setup of the
projector. The universal ped estal has a separate comp artment to install the UPS unit for the B-series p rojector.
Futhermore, the universal pedest al contains a standard 19” rack to b uild in the projector peripherals su ch as
alternative co ntent switchers (e.g. ACS-2048)
