4. Operation
1. Reboot
Press R eboot to perform an immediate device soft reboot.
2. Save / Restore
-PressBackup configuration to download the complete device configuration in a human readable
format.
Open the file.
Note: The device configuration file does not contain any static IP configured settings, nor the ad-
ministrator password
-PressRestore configuration to upload a specific device configuration file.
3. Factory Defaults Reset
Perform a factory default reset via the WebUI or via the Identification button of the device:
- WebUI
Press Reset to factory defaults
Note: this method will reset all encoder/decoder settings to factory defaults, but the network settings
and the administrator password are NOT reset.
- Identification button
a) Shut down the device.
b) Startup the device, while keeping the Identification button pressed.
See "Installation", page 17 for the location of this button.
c) The identification LED will blink for 1 second.
Note: This method will reset ALL device settings to factory default, including network and pass-
word s ettings
4.4.5 Software upgrade
How to perform a software upgrade ?
There are three methods to perform software upgrade:
1. Upgrade by uploading a .deb file
a) Press the link Browse for a l ocal upgrade file and select the correct file.
b) Press Start upgrade (the button appears once you have selected your upgrade file).
c)Theblueidentification LED is lit during the upgrade.
d) Follow the upgrade status on the web interface.
e) The device will reboot when upgrade is done.
2. Upgrade from a repository via http link
a) Click on “Upgrade url” and fill in the http to the .deb file
b) Press Start upgrade
c)Theblueidentification LED is lit during the upgrade
d) Follow the upgrade status on the web interface
e) The device will reboot when upgrade is done.
3. Upgrade from USB stick
a) Put the .deb file on USB storage and insert it into one of the USB ports.
Upgrade starts automatically.
b)Theblueidentification LED is lit during the upgrade.
c) Wait until the identification LED is off.
d) Remove USB stick and re-power the device.
