4.6.6 Terminals for external conductors
Pay attention to EN 60079-14 (Explosive atmospheres – Part 14: Electrical installations design,
selection and erection) when connecting the external conductors to the terminals in a potentially
explosive atmosphere.

Lay conductors according to the terminal assignment. Equipotential bonding is not required
because the power supply is galvanically isolated.
4.6.7 Recommendation for the data line
BARTEC recommends using the following cable:
‒ Standard, shielded data line to prevent external disturbances to the data line
‒ CAT5 cable or better
