Don’t forget to change the saline bag before starting the blood
pump.
10. Recirculation: If you wish to recirculate, you must connect the two
patient ends of the blood lines with a sterile recirculation connector.
Open the infusion line already attached to the second saline bag.
Press Recirculation on the display screen. Press on the blood pump
to start recirculation.
11. When ready to connect patient, stop the blood pump, clamp the
arterial and venous patient lines, clamp the saline infusion line and
the roller clamp.
Single Needle: Verify levels in the expansion chambers have been
filled to be level with the grooves of the chambers and close their
respective clamps.
