An overtorque is any incident where torsional loads greater than
the allowed limits are applied into the helicopter dynamic
system.
NOTE
No action is required if overtorque is within 100% to
105%.
Refer to the Rolls-Royce 250-C40B Operation and
Maintenance Manual Publication 21000 for the
engine overtorque limits and the inspection
requirements.
1. When the overtorque is more than 105% but not more than
115%, do the steps that follow:
a. Do a thorough visual inspection of the assemblies that
follow (installed on the helicopter) for signs of damage. Make
sure they are not bent or deformed and show no obvious signs
of damage.
(1) Main rotor yokes and blades.
(2) Start the engine and examine the main rotor, while
in flat pitch position, for any signs of a 1 per rev vibration.
