Chapter 29 c. Examine the directional control actuator for leaks. Make
sure it is correctly attached.
d. Examine the FS 340.00 bulkhead structure for distortion
or cracks in the area where directional control actuator attaches.
Chapter 67 and
BHT-ALL-SPM
5. Open the access panels in the tunnel behind the pilot
station. Examine the lower and upper cyclic and collective pitch
control bellcranks for loose bearings, corrosion or mechanical
damage to the clevises. Make sure they are correctly attached
to the supports and control tube bearings. (F5/F6)
Chapter 76 6. Examine the engine control cables and idle stop solenoids
for corrosion and damage. Make sure they are correctly
attached. (F5/F6)
Chapter 25 and
Chapter 52
7. Remove the interior trim around the emergency exit
windows in the passenger doors. Examine the emergency exit
windows as follows: (F3/F4)
Chapter 52 a. Examine the bond between the window retainer and the
door frame. Replace the retainer if it is not correctly bonded to
the frame at all points except at the two lower corners.
b. Examine the inboard and outboard side of all of the
rubber retainers. Replace the retainers if you find any nicks or
cracks.
c. Make sure the filler strips and the pull tabs are firmly
seated in the retainer grooves.
Chapter 25 d. Install the interior trim.
Chapter 32 8. If the helicopter has retractable landing gear, examine the
landing gear as follows: (F1/F2/F3/F4)
a. Examine the nose gear centering actuator for correct
pressure.
b. Examine oleo inflation valve and check for indication of
hydraulic fluid.
Chapter 32 c. Do an operational check of the landing gear hydraulic
system.
