2.Disassemble,clean,anddoavisualinspectionofthemastassembly
forthefollowing:
a.Visuallyexamineallthepartsofthemastassemblyforsignsofarc
burns,speciallythebearingringraceways.
NOTE
Ifthemastassemblyisserviceable,theinspectionofthetransmis-
sionassemblyisnotrequired.
b.Ifnoarcburnsarevisibleonthemastassemblyandifnoarcburns
arefoundonthemainrotorhubandbladeassemblyoronanypartsof
thexedorrotatingcontrols,thenthemastassemblyisserviceable.
However,replacethenon-separablepreloadballbearingbeforeyou
returnthemastassemblytoservice.
c.Ifarcburnsarevisibleonthemastassembly,dothefollowing:

forcontaminationafter5to10hoursofoperation.Ifthereareunwanted
particles,dothefollowing:

(2)AttachaTHISCOMPONENTWASREMOVEDFROMSERVICE
