Using Bluetooth (available on selected models)
The Bluetooth function allows you to get connected to various
devices and services that support Bluetooth transmission. You
can connect wirelessly without the need for data cables when
printing documents, synchronizing your Personal Information
Management (PIM) data with your Personal Digital Assistant
(PDA) or another Personal Computer (PC), mobile phone or
even sharing a network connection.
Bluetooth is available on selected models.
Turning Bluetooth on or off
You can use the <Fn> + <F4> hotkey combination to turn on or
turn off the Bluetooth function on your Joybook.
• When you turn on Bluetooth using the <Fn> + <F4> hotkey
combination, the Bluetooth icon appears in blue in the
notification area.
• When you turn off Bluetooth using the <Fn> + <F4> hotkey
combination, the Bluetooth icon disappears from the
notification area.
• To save power, you can use the <Fn> + <F4> hotkey
combination to turn off Bluetooth when you’re not using it.
• You can also stop Bluetooth by right-clicking the Bluetooth
icon in the notification area and then select "Turn off
Bluetooth". The Bluetooth icon turns into gray , but
remains in the notification area. In this state, the Bluetooth
module still consumes power.
Navigating the Classic View screen
To g o to Classic View, right-click the Bluetooth icon in the
notification area, and then select Display Classic View. Roll your
mouse over the screen below to become familiar with the
various sections of the GUI.
In Classic View, you can search for Bluetooth devices, view
Bluetooth devices' services, connect to Bluetooth devices, and
change BlueSoleil settings.
