> Lower the presser foot centrally between the edges of the fabric and sew.
> After sewing, remove the lining and tacking thread.
Joining seam with double overlock stitch
The double overlock stitch can be used to sew two fabric edges together at a distance. This stitch pattern is
used to decorate blouses and children's clothing. The decorative effect of this stitch pattern is more striking if
thicker thread is used.
> Fit the zigzag foot.
> Set the stitch pattern selector knob to position «F».
> Set the stitch length knob to «S1».
> Set the stitch width to «6».
> Tack the folded edges of two pieces of fabric to a piece of washable lining with a gap of 4mm.

> Lower the presser foot centrally between the edges of the fabric and sew.
> After sewing, remove the lining and tacking thread.
5.5 Edging
Shell edging with Vari-overlock stitch
The Vari-overlock stitch can be used to create a shell edging effect on soft jerseys and fine fabric.
> Fit the zigzag foot.
