pressure signal to the exhalation valve is terminated when the circuit pressure equals 10 cmH

PEEP during spontaneous breaths only, and that the gas flow remains on for the duration of the set
inspiratory time.

Tee a calibrated low-pressure analog gauge into the airway pressure line of a patient circuit.
Set Pressure Trigger to -1.0 cmH

O and verify the CROSSVENT triggers a breath when a pressure of -1
cmH

O is applied to the circuit.
Repeat for -5 cmH
2
O.
