9.2.3 MIDI Settings
1. MIDI Channel: This setting range is from 0-15.
2. MIDI Mode: The controller can be set in [Master Mode], [Slave Mode], or [MIDI Disable]. The default option on the
controller is “Disable.
Midi Command:
You can input midi commands from other midi device to trigger the playbacks of the controller.
The character “n (0 to 15) below means the midi channel number (n=0 means channel=1). The midi channel number
should be the same as the setting on the controller.
*All numbers for the commands should be in hexadecimal notation.
Note: Midi commands can not trigger playbacks on Fixed key options.
The midi command for switching playback (PB) pages (0 to 39).
Playback pages: $Bn + PB page + 0
The midi Command for running a playback (PB). (0 to 14).
Command: $9n + pp + ll
pp = playback number (decimal: 0 – 14)
ll = playback levels (decimal: 0-127)
For example: The midi channel on the controller is 1.
a. If you want to switch the playback page to page 3. Command: B0 02 00
b. If you want to run playback 1 in full. Command: 90 00 7F
c. If you want to run playback 15 with 50% level. Command: 90 0E 3F
When in [Master Mode], the controller is the master device which can control another slave device. While in [Slave Mode],
the controller is the slave device which can be controlled by another master device.
